Darren Murphy
Biography
Darren Murphy earned a science degree before graduating from the University of Manitoba College of Pharmacy in 2007. He purchased his first independent pharmacy in 2008. Over the next 16 years, he founded the Northway Pharmacy brand in Manitoba, opening more than 14 pharmacies and 5 medical clinics.
Darren joined the Pharmacists Manitoba board hoping to contribute to advancing pharmacist professional services in Manitoba and improving remuneration for pharmacies with the end goal of sustainability in community pharmacy. Darren supports various community charities, sits on non-profit boards, and coaches hockey.
