Colin Langedock
BIOGRAPHY
Colin Langedock has been practicing as a pharmacist since 2010 and has been a pharmacy owner since 2014. Colin currently works as a managing pharmacist partner for Northway Pharmacy. He spends most of his pharmacy practice time at Northway Pharmacy Pharmacie Marion.
Colin’s earlier years were shaped by a philosophy of service to others, and his background as a Franco-Manitoban. These influences would lead him to pursue a career in pharmacy, a helping profession, with a part of his practice focusing on providing pharmacy services to the French community of Winnipeg.
Colin believes in the importance of cognitive-based and clinical pharmacy services delivered to patients by pharmacists, and the impact of these services leading to positive health outcomes. He is a strong supporter of the continued expansion of pharmacist clinical service scope. Patient accessibility to prompt pharmacy care, patient safety initiatives and the development of strong rapport with patients have all been important areas of focus that have helped shape Colin’s vision of his practice.
Colin is passionate about and engaged in many areas of pharmacy practice with an emphasis on immunization, geriatric care and mental health. He is heavily involved every year in spearheading the outreach seasonal influenza immunization campaign, and more recently, COVID-19 immunization initiatives, at his practice settings. He has a keen interest in problem solving, innovation in pharmacy, developing new patient care and education initiatives, participating in medication safety centered programs and investing in new technologies such as automation in his workplace. He also believes in a team approach to healthcare and a high level of communication with strong collaborative partnerships between pharmacists, other healthcare providers and other patient supports. Colin is also dedicated in his mentorship to others to grow and evolve in their practice.
Colin is married to his wonderful wife Chantal and has two children, Haddie and Adrian. He values time with his family and likes to stay active by going to the gym, running and playing golf.
