Christine Vaccaro
BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Christine Vaccaro earned her PharmD from the University of Manitoba in 2023 and is currently the ambulatory care resident at the Centre for Family Medicine and the University of Waterloo. She represents over 4000 pharmacy learners as Past President of the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Students and Interns (CAPSI) and as the Ontario Pharmacy Residents Association's Ambulatory Care Representative.
Christine had the unique opportunity of watching pharmacy practice evolve throughout her life. She has worked in community pharmacy for over 10 years and continues to see the impact scope of practice changes have on patients and their communities.
Christine is driven to expand her impact on chronic disease management, teaching, research, and advocacy. She holds a variety of roles on CAPSI National, CPhA working groups, and Pharmacists Manitoba. She has volunteered with Pharmacists Manitoba for 6 years and has contributed to various initiatives including Quit Smoking with Your Manitoba Pharmacist, Pharmacy Appreciation Month activities, student liaison, and as a member of the External Relations Committee. Christine strives to utilize her voice in advocating for primary care and students and recent graduates.
Outside of pharmacy, Christine enjoys tinkering with her homemade pizza recipe, hanging out at the lake with her family, and replaying Lianne La Havas' self-titled album for the zillionth time.
