Why Your Pharmacists Manitoba Membership Matters
Pharmacists Manitoba is moving quickly to act on member feedback. A series of coordinated efforts will be rolled out to build momentum, strengthen the profession’s voice, and ensure decision-makers understand the essential role pharmacists play in Manitoba’s health system. Pharmacists Manitoba is committed to standing with members as this work moves forward. Your dedication and expertise drive real change, and every action you take helps strengthen the profession. Together, we can create a practice environment that supports pharmacists so they can deliver the care Manitobans need.
Public & Government Awareness
Members will see new campaigns aimed at educating both the public and government about the skills, expertise, and value pharmacists bring to patient care. These efforts are designed to increase public demand for pharmacist-provided services and to reinforce the need for the government to support and appropriately remunerate those services.
Guidance on Charging Fees
Guidance will also be provided to support members in charging fees for services that are unfunded in pharmacies but funded when delivered by other health care providers. This will include tools to help explain these fees to patients and highlight the value and impact of the care pharmacists provide every day.
Advocacy Initiatives
In addition, a series of advocacy initiatives is already underway, all aimed at strengthening the profession’s position and accelerating progress.
The overarching goal is clear: to create a more stable, predictable, and sustainable practice environment where pharmacists are supported, valued, and properly remunerated for the essential care they deliver.
